The shores of the Mediterranean are never more beautiful than in the middle of August. Hopefully by next year the terrorist threat is diminished and we will all be able to enjoy what Europe has to offer for holiday once again.

I am accused of being a child killer and then I am accused of blowing up Terror Tours but leaving a child alive. These vigilantes should get their lies straight. Either I murder children or I do not. I see no reason that if I was as terrible as they say I am that I would have let that child live.

Private and written in French.
It is not often that one receives such a glaring confirmation of ones darkest thoughts. He did not care for me. I had always hung on to hope that he had sent me away for some purpose but now I see it was for the exact reason I feared. He did not want me here.
I was fifteen when he wrote his will and he thought nothing of me. I returned and I did all that he asked and he still thought nothing of me. It is not the money; I have money. It is not the house; have I not inherited the true Lestrange home already with grandfather's death? Alcander remembered me and my father did not.
Had he left me a book, one single book, I could believe that my existence meant something to him. And now there is no reason for me to remain in England beyond the closing of the border. When it opens, I return to France with Astra and our child, and I never look back.

I am moving back to our cottage this very afternoon. It is time that I focus on my own family and stop grieving what has been lost. Thank you for your patience, ma belle. I am glad to have you as my wife.

You have not heard I assume. Lupin set up a trap and used a portkey to get me to the home we used for him and Marlene. He tortured me and removed three of my fingers, my ear, and he bit off a portion of my face.

I would like for my Goddaughter and her siblings to come stay with Astra and me at our home. I do not trust the servants who worked for the Burkes. The children are young and any damage that has been done by their parents' disloyalty can be undone in them. After the trial other arrangements can be made if necessary but unless you have serious objections this is my intention.

The weak-minded pose no challenge to an Imperius. It must be an English deficiency that someone with so little skill could rise to such a high position. When the Dark Lord takes his place in society I hope that it is another area which he sets right.

I know that we purchased several gifts for Narcissa and Draco but if you can think of anything specifically you would like to add I can pick it up before work tomorrow. I will come home at 11:55 and we can duel apparate to Malfoy Manor at noon.

She said as much in her letter to me and she would not hide bitterness against me, I know. It is guilt, nothing more, and if it can not be changed it must be forgotten. Father has given me duties with which to occupy myself and I will undertake them now.
